Cats and dogs are allowed in private quarters. Our property is conveniently located near accessible public transportation. Silverado offers disease-specific programs to provide specialized care, understanding, equipment and more for common challenging conditions. Dominique joined the Silverado Hospice team in 2020. She comes with over 10 years of experience in both Hospice and Home Health.
I don not know if they ever checked on him. The salespeople were very positive, but alas the bedsore shows that the place is in it for the money. Silverado has been great for my loved one.
A higher standard of care
They are always so friendly and willing to be helpful. They are very patient with the residents even when they are being difficult. I have been working here for over a year and see, firsthand, how amazing each team member is and how much they truly care. I got my start at Silverado Hospice and came back after 10 years because I knew they were committed to excellence.
They were doing activities, and everybody was participating on a story telling activity. They look like they were really trying with the activities when I went there. But it was still kind of on the dingy side. The staff should greet you as you walk in and ask if you need assistance or have questions.
More Senior Care
Most recently, Melissa has served as the Senior Director of Development for the LA based non-profit Alzheimer’s Los Angeles. Hicham Siouty, MD is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician who has been practicing in the South Bay for over 27 years. After studying in such notable cities as Baghdad, London and Chicago, Dr. Siouty continued his education at Harvard Medical School and Mayo Clinic. Beyond spending time with his patients, Dr. Siouty enjoys tennis, reading, traveling and fundraising for charitable and worthy causes. This is a lovely community, and my mother is doing well.
But seven days after it started limiting access, on the evening of March 19, the Silverado allowed an elderly man to move into a unit for people suffering from mild dementia. The Silverado cited fear of COVID-19 on March 12 when it asked families to stop visiting the three-story building on North Hayworth Street. In the following days, the facility also canceled events and barred the private paid companions many families hire for additional help. UC Irvine Medical Center health care workers return their gratitude as about 25 Orange County first responder vehicles participate in a drive-by parade of gratitude as they battle COVID-19 at the hospital. Daniel Rogerson wears a vintage military gas mask while riding a bike along the beach path in Santa Monica, which is closed to enforce social distancing because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In February 2019, Rustin transferred to the Los Angeles branch of Silverado Hospice in order to live closer to his parents and enjoy another part of Sunny Southern California. Rustin was later promoted to Director of Patient Care Services, where he works every day to ensure great care is provided to each and every patient and family cared for by Silverado Los Angeles. Laly has been a part of the Silverado team since 2016. She has been practicing in the field of social work for almost 10 years. Laly is an Arizona State graduate, where she earned her Masters in social work with an emphasis on Gerontology. She believes her passion of working with the elderly stemmed from volunteering in nursing homes as a teenager.

That's why my parents decided to stay in there. They are moving out next week, and I'm sure they will have a great time living there. I would say it's excellent, he has good days, bad days, they do a lot of music, they have a lot of activities to keep them busy, so they don't just sit in a wheelchair wasting away. The activities is what really keep him going. The facility is fabulous, it's gorgeous, very clean, and has no smell. I can't go inside, when Ido have visiting privileges, they have to be outside.
A Place for Mom uses the term “assisted living” to indicate that the community provides some level of assistance with daily living activities. It does not indicate that the facility meets official state requirements for level of care. The entire staff at this community is trained in memory care.
It is in a great location too - not far at all from the Beverly Center in West Hollywood and the CBS studio building, where the clients can go to watch Craig Ferguson and other CBS late shows in person. I highly recommend Silverado to any family looking for senior care in the LA/Hollywood area. My mom is in respite care right now at Silverado Beverly Place.
